Police in the Scottish Borders are investigating a racial attack that occurred in Galashiels in the early hours of Saturday. A 31-year-old man was assaulted and racially abused on Melrose Road by a group of teenagers.
The suspects, one boy and three girls, are believed to be aged around 14 or 15. The victim was subjected to racial slurs during the incident.
Inspector Tony Hodges described the attack as a “frightening incident” for the victim. He urged anyone who witnessed the event or has information to come forward and contact police or Crimestoppers.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses to assist in the investigation, as they work to identify the teenagers involved.
