Wanted Runcorn man found with drugs worth thousands

A 25-year-old man from Runcorn is wanted on recall to prison. Robert Lingham had already accumulated 14 convictions for 28 offences when he was jailed on drug dealing charges in May 2020.

Aged just 18 at the time, the teenage dealer was caught red-handed at a Travelodge in Fiddlers Ferry Road, Widnes, in the early hours of August 3, 2019. Around £4,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine was found hidden under his mattress.

Police also discovered £575 in cash, a small amount of cannabis and two mobile phones, which later revealed evidence of drug dealing.

Hotel raid in Liverpool city centre

Just over a month later, officers raided another hotel room Lingham was staying in, the Days Inn in Liverpool city centre. They seized 54g of crack cocaine, which was said by police to be worth "thousands of pounds", and a small bag of cannabis.

In total there was 17.3g of crack, equating to 82 wraps, with an estimated street value of £1,640, and 26.2g of heroin, equating to 118 wraps, worth £2,360.

New appeal issued

In November 2024, Cheshire Police appealed for information about Lingham's whereabouts as he was wanted on suspicion of assault.

The force issued a new appeal today, Tuesday October 6, as Lingham is now wanted in relation to a prison recall. He is linked to the Runcorn and Widnes areas of Cheshire, as well as Merseyside and Lancashire.

Lingham is described as a 6ft tall white male with a slim build and mousy brown hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call 101 or 999 if sighted, and quote reference IML2426889.
