Triangle UFOs 'warp time' as soldiers suffer 25-minute time slip

Two US military service members reportedly suffered a bizarre 25-minute time slip after a close encounter with mystery triangle lights, according to newly released FBI documents.

The incident unfolded earlier this year when two witnesses, believed to be US military service members, spotted glowing shape-shifting lights hovering over the western United States during an evening reconnaissance drive. They first noticed a strange red light at the crest of the mountain range to their west.

Encounter with triangle lights

Perched between 5,000 and 7,000 feet in the sky, the eerie orb was quickly joined by a fleet of six to ten additional craft directly above their position. The FBI report noted that these lights appeared to 'sync up' and travelled to the east/southeast, with one orb plunging downward while the rest regrouped and vanished.

Using a night optical device, one observer realised each red glow was actually comprised of three separate lights in a triangular or diamond-shaped pattern moving in tight formation. Moments later, two more mysterious lights flickered close to the ground just 1,000 feet away before disappearing.

Time slip and watch discrepancy

After driving away, one witness discovered his traditional analogue watch was running a full 25 minutes fast compared to his companion's digital watch, their dashboard clock, and their mobile phones. The witness maintained he had been looking at his watch throughout that day and night and it had been accurate up to that point.

Harvard theoretical physicist Avi Loeb suggested a powerful electromagnetic effect could have disrupted the mechanical timepiece while leaving digital gadgets intact. He said: "If these are technologies developed by adversarial nations, we need to know about them because it's a matter of national security. It could also be that we're dealing with some 'black projects'… Finally, it could be a manifestation of some alien technology, in which case it would be a huge scientific discovery."

Other incidents in released files

The time warp is among accounts in the latest tranche of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) files released by the Trump administration. In another incident, a pilot at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan recalled watching a silent, 500-foot triangle drift past in 2002 at 4.30am as the stars suddenly vanished, reporting: "It appeared as if something huge went overhead."

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said: "The Department of War is in lockstep with President Trump to bring unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fuelled justified speculation, and it’s time the American people see it for themselves."
