Two teenagers have been airlifted to hospital following a stabbing in a Northampton park, which police believe was a gang attack. The incident occurred at approximately 8:35 pm on Friday in King's Heath, Northampton, where at least three people were reported to have been stabbed.
Victims and Injuries
The victims, aged 17 and 18, sustained knife wounds. The 18-year-old is being treated for serious injuries, while the 17-year-old's condition has not been disclosed. A 20-year-old who suffered a minor injury left the scene before police arrived and has not yet been located.
Suspects Sought
Detectives are searching for six suspects believed to be involved. Some wore face coverings, five were dressed in dark clothing, and one wore a white T-shirt and shorts. One suspect fled in a small, dark car. Police are urging witnesses and anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to come forward.
Detective Inspector Gary Collins said: 'I understand this incident will cause concern in the local community. We are working hard to find those involved and bring them to justice. We want to hear from anyone with information about the incident or events leading up to it.'
He added: 'Kings Heath is a close-knit community, as demonstrated by those who assisted victims at the scene. Officers from the Northampton Neighbourhood Policing Team will be in the area throughout the weekend.'
