A woman from Anglesey has shared her journey from a severe cocaine addiction, which saw her spending £1,000 a month on the drug, to recovery. Llinos Môn Owen, 32, first tried cocaine at age 18 but quickly became dependent, prioritising the drug over rent and food.
Her addiction spiralled out of control, dominating her life until two years ago when she managed to turn things around and become clean. Owen now speaks openly about her experience as a cautionary tale.
Her story emerges as official figures reveal a sharp rise in cocaine-related deaths in Wales, which have more than quadrupled over the past five years, highlighting the growing dangers of the drug.
