A woman has been left horrified after discovering a knife, a creepy note, and a condom hidden in the ceiling of her basement, with no explanation for how the items got there. She stumbled upon the find while searching for her missing cat, which she describes as an "expert hider."

Posting on Reddit, she wrote: "Found a weird note and a giant knife in the ceiling of my basement while looking for a missing cat. This is definitely very old, but also very weird. We are luring the cat out with tasty nibbles, and tomorrow I'm talking to my neighbour who lived here a long while ago to see if she knows any of the story."
The 10-word message, scrawled on an envelope, reads: "I love you. You're very beautiful - Randal. PS. Nice window." It was found alongside a blade and a sealed condom that expired in 2015.

The woman remains uncertain whether to alert authorities or dismiss the find as a warped joke. While she was pleased to have located her cat, Sushi, her story sparked concerns online. Some thought it could be a dark joke, while others said the note would make them want to relocate.
