A sombre atmosphere has descended upon a pizzeria in West London after a horrific suspected domestic violence incident resulted in the death of a Ukrainian woman. The victim has been named by police as 41-year-old Iryna Zarutska.
The attack occurred on Monday evening at the recently opened 'Tribute Pizza' restaurant on Staines Road in Hounslow. Emergency services were called to the scene just after 9:30 PM following reports of a stabbing.
Despite the rapid response from paramedics and police officers, Ms. Zarutska was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in due course to formally establish the cause of death.
