A 17-year-old boy and a 32-year-old man have been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault in Rhyl. The incident occurred on Bath Street on the evening of July 23.
Emergency Response and Injuries
Emergency services, including police, paramedics and an air ambulance, were dispatched to the scene. A cordon was established, and a man was airlifted to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool with serious injuries.
Charges and Court Appearance
Gareth Marc Griffith, 32, of Rhyl, and a 17-year-old male, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place. They appeared at Llandudno Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Police Statement
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Officers investigating an assault in Rhyl have charged two people. The incident in Bath Street, which occurred on the evening of July 23, saw a man taken to hospital with serious injuries." The spokesperson added: "Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing."
