Fifth Woman Accuses Chris Noth of Sexual Assault

A fifth woman has accused Sex and the City actor Chris Noth of sexual abuse, alleging he groped her and threatened to ruin her career if she spoke out. US singer Lisa Gentile, 54, said the incident occurred at her New York apartment in 2002 after Noth gave her a lift home from a restaurant.

At a virtual press conference on Thursday, Ms Gentile said she first met the actor in 1998. She alleged that during the 2002 encounter, Noth became aggressive, touching her inappropriately and forcing her hands onto him. “He became more aggressive and put both hands on my breasts and began squeezing them very hard over my shirt,” she claimed. She said she pushed him away and told him, “No, I don’t want this.”

Ms Gentile said she had not come forward earlier because she feared Noth’s power and his threats to ruin her career. Her lawyer, Gloria Allred, stated that her client cannot file a legal complaint due to the time elapsed, but hopes to change the law on historic cases.

Noth, 67, has denied previous allegations as “categorically false”. Last week, two women accused him of rape in 2004 and 2015. A third woman alleged assault in 2010. Noth’s attorney said his client had no further comment.
