A California woman has been charged after allegedly drugging her estranged husband, tying him to a bed, and cutting off his penis. The incident occurred in Garden Grove, near Los Angeles.
Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, is accused of poisoning the 51-year-old victim’s dinner on Monday night. Police say the man then went to lie down and woke up tied to the bed, where Becker cut off his penis with a knife and disposed of it in a waste disposal unit.
According to Lieutenant Jeff Nightengale of Garden Grove police, Becker called 911 and told responding officers that the victim “deserved it.” The victim, who has not been named, is in a serious condition following surgery.
Becker has been charged with aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning, and spousal abuse. The couple was reportedly going through a divorce at the time of the attack.
