A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital after attempting to swallow an item while being stopped by police in Fazakerley. The incident occurred on Ferrey Road on Tuesday, August 8, when officers approached a man they described as acting suspiciously.

The man has then tried to swallow an item and he was arrested on suspicion of obstructing an officer in the line of duty and resisting arrest. The 55-year-old was taken to hospital as a precaution.'
