Gemma Collins' alleged stalker was arrested after leaving the TV star 'terrified' last year. The reality star revealed she had been sent abusive letters by a woman, including some which allegedly contained 'rat poison'.
Some of the correspondence also shockingly claimed that Gemma's fiancé, Rami Hawash, had a love child with another woman. Gemma, 45, discussed the terrifying ordeal on her Sky documentary Gemma Collins: Everything All At Once, which was released earlier this month.
Police investigation and security measures
The former Towie star also claimed the alleged stalker claimed to have attended the funeral for her beloved late mother Joan, who died in July. Collins claimed at the time that the letters 'may have been coming from someone very close to us'.
Essex Police said in a statement to The Sun: 'In June 2025, we opened an investigation into reports of stalking and harassment in the Chelmsford area. A woman aged in her 30s was arrested. She was interviewed and released on bail until November.'
Gemma's response and gratitude
According to the publication, Gemma and Rami had to up security at their home in Essex as a result of the alleged abuse. A source said: 'It's been a horrendous ordeal for Gemma. She has been left terrified in her own home. She is grateful to police and hopes justice will be served.'
Gemma said of the ordeal: 'I've been receiving some truly nasty and deeply personal letters. What makes it even more shocking is believing they may be coming from someone very close to us.'
'To anyone who thinks sending anonymous cruelty, rat poison, dog poo into someone's home is acceptable, it isn't. Words have consequences.'
She added: 'I'm choosing peace, protection and truth. Thank you to everyone who continues to send me love and kindness. It means more than you know. I also want to say a huge thank you to the police, CID, forensic teams and everyone involved who has taken this matter seriously and treated it with such care and professionalism.'
'When something like this happens, you realise how important it is to feel protected, listened to and supported. I'm incredibly grateful to everyone working behind the scenes.'
