A 31-year-old British woman has died following a knife attack at a railway station in Rosenheim, Germany. Police were called in the early hours of Sunday morning after reports of a woman being assaulted with a blade and sustaining critical injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital, where she subsequently died. A 27-year-old German man was apprehended at the location.
Investigation and appeal for witnesses
Authorities have said they remain uncertain about the motive and the circumstances preceding the assault. They have appealed for witnesses to step forward to assist with the investigation.
Anyone who observed “an argument” or a “physical altercation” at the station shortly before 1am local time on Sunday has been asked to contact police.
