A British mother of three has been stabbed to death at her home in Spain, reportedly in front of her children. Victoria Hart, 33, was found in a pool of blood in her kitchen in Alhaurín el Grande, near Malaga, on Saturday morning.
Neighbours raised the alarm at around 11:40am after hearing screams. A local entered the property and discovered Victoria on the floor with a kitchen knife nearby. Her three children—an 11-year-old boy and twin girls aged seven—had run out of the house crying for help.
Emergency services attended but Victoria was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested a suspect shortly after, believed to be her ex-partner. The mother, originally from the West Midlands, ran a hairdressing and beauty business from her home.
Tributes have been paid on Facebook, with one friend describing her as a “perfect” mother and another saying: “There’s not many people as perfect as Victoria Hart.” Neighbours reported that she and her partner had been separating in recent months.
An autopsy is due to take place, and the suspect is expected to appear in court. Alhaurín el Grande Town Council declared Monday an official day of mourning, condemning the act as gender-based violence.
