A British woman has been found dead inside a cabin on a cruise ship anchored off Santorini. Staff discovered the woman's body on Sunday, July 26. Emergency services on the Greek island were called, and the woman's body was taken to the port of Athinios, according to the Daily Mail. She was officially pronounced dead at a hospital.
Investigation underway
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of her death, which is reportedly under investigation by local authorities. The cruise is said to have continued its voyage through the Aegean Sea after the woman's body was transferred to hospital.

News of the woman's death comes two weeks after a British man was found dead on another cruise ship. The vessel was forced to anchor in Crete after the 79-year-old lost consciousness on deck. He was taken by ambulance to hospital in Chania but was pronounced dead on Tuesday, July 14. Local police launched an investigation but ruled out foul play.
A day before the man died, reports emerged that a crew member from a cruise in the Gulf of Mexico died after going overboard on Monday, July 13. Passengers spoke of the captain of the Regal Princess making an announcement that a crew member went overboard. David Jimenez told CBS the vessel, another cruise ship and maritime authorities from Mexico searched for the crew member. Princess Cruises confirmed the crew member, who was not identified, perished and an eight-hour-long search was carried out. The cruise line said in a statement that thoughts were with the deceased, their family and everyone affected.
