Emergency services were called to a property on Ash Avenue in the Greenhills area of East Kilbride at around 9.20pm on Tuesday, August 11, following reports of a woman found with injuries. A 49-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police cordon and ongoing enquiries
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. Police have cordoned off an area of the residential street and have a heavy presence in the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20pm on Tuesday, August 11 police were called to a report of a woman found with injuries within a property on Ash Avenue, East Kilbride.
“Emergency services attended and a 49-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
