Woman Found Dead in Caldicot Murder Probe Pictured

The family of a woman allegedly murdered in Monmouthshire earlier this month have expressed their devastation. Caroline Jones, 52, was discovered dead by police at an address on Green Lane in Caldicot on Thursday, June 4.

Investigation Update

A murder investigation has been initiated, and a 50-year-old man from Caldicot, known to Ms Jones, was arrested on suspicion of murder. According to a statement from Gwent Police on Thursday, June 18, he has since been detained under the Mental Health Act.

Family's Response

In a brief statement, Ms Jones' family said they are devastated by her death and have requested privacy. They stated: “As a family we are devastated by the loss of Caroline and how her life was cut tragically short. We ask for privacy and respect at this difficult time.”
