Merseyside Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help with an investigation into a burglary and assault in Everton. A woman was bitten after she challenged a suspect for allegedly stealing an iPad and a bank card from her home on Farraday Street on May 29.
Incident Details
The victim confronted the suspect in the street after noticing the theft. The items were returned, but the suspect threatened her and bit her hand, causing a small gash and bleeding. The victim required medical tests as a precaution.
Police Appeal
Detective Inspector Lee Egerton said: “This has been a very distressing experience for the victim of the assault where she has had to undergo medical tests to ensure she hasn’t caught anything. The occupants also had someone invade their home which is an awful experience to go through.”
“I am appealing for the man featured in the CCTV image, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe he could hold information that could be vital to our continuing enquiries.”
