Two Men Stabbed at Birmingham Music Festival, Event Shut Down

Two men were stabbed at a music festival in Birmingham, leading to the evacuation of the event. The incident occurred at the Cru2 event at Luna Springs on Lower Trinity Street, Digbeth, at around 7pm on Saturday, May 9.

West Midlands Police confirmed that officers were called to the scene shortly before 7pm following reports of two men with stab wounds. Both victims were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Attendees were initially asked to bear with the organisers via a message on the screen behind the DJ booth, which later instructed them to leave the venue via the nearest exit. Police remain at the scene conducting an investigation, and no arrests have been made so far.

This incident follows a separate stabbing in Stirling on the same evening, where two men aged 38 and 46 were seriously injured in what police are treating as attempted murder. They were taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Detective Chief Inspector Scott Roxburgh urged anyone with information to come forward.
