Two Charged After Pensioner Stabbed in Partington

A woman and a man have been charged in connection with a stabbing in Trafford that left a 72-year-old pensioner fighting for his life. The incident occurred on Heather Walk in the Partington area on Tuesday evening, July 7, at around 6:05pm.

Charges Filed

Maria Graham, 32, of Holly Walk, Partington, has been charged with assault and possession of a bladed article. Warren Graham, 37, also of Holly Walk, Partington, has been charged with assisting an offender. Both have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today, July 9.

Victim's Condition

The victim, a 72-year-old man, was rushed to hospital from the scene with a stab wound. A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesperson initially described him as being in a critical condition. In an update issued on July 9, the spokesperson said he remains in hospital receiving treatment for 'life-changing' injuries.
