Two men have been charged with theft following an incident at The Gate in Newcastle city centre on Tuesday, August 4. Bradley Wallace, 19, of Fenton Walk in Newcastle, and Max Snowdon, 21, of Ridley Gardens in Gateshead, are both accused of stealing a motor vehicle.
Additional charges
Wallace faces further charges of possession of a bladed article, going equipped for theft, dangerous driving, and driving without insurance. Snowdon has also been charged with driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
Court appearances
Wallace appeared at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on August 5 and was granted conditional bail pending a future court date. Snowdon was bailed by police to appear at the same court on August 19.
Northumbria Police arrested two people on August 4 following reports of a suspected attempted robbery at The Gate. A Sur-Ron motorcycle and a knife were seized, along with bolt cutters.
