Tributes have poured in for a dad-of-three who was tragically found dead at his home in Lancashire.
An inquest into Simon Walling's death was opened and adjourned at Preston Coroners' Court on Thursday, June 11. Area Coroner Kate Bisset confirmed that Simon was born in Lancaster and worked as a director of a builders' merchants.
Simon was husband to Gemma and father to Isabella, Maisie, and Joseph. The coroner confirmed his wife identified his body at their home in Lancaster, and his injuries were consistent with him having sadly taken his own life, reports Lancs Live.
Following Simon's death, an outpouring of tributes appeared online. One friend wrote: "Such heart-breaking news sending love to all his family and friends at this very sad time. Rest in Peace Simon, such a grand lad."
Another described Simon as "a top bloke" and "truly lovely," while a third said: "Sending my heartfelt condolences to Gemma, all the family, and the many friends Simon had. I have great memories of a wonderful human being."
A final inquest will be held at Morecambe Town Hall on September 17 before Assistant Coroner Richard Taylor.
