Tommy Robinson guilty of harassing two Mail journalists

Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has been found guilty at Southwark Crown Court of harassing two Daily Mail journalists.

The 43-year-old, who gave his full name to the court as Stephen Lennon, harassed a freelance journalist and a Daily Mail reporter in August 2024.

Jury Deliberations and Verdict

The jury retired on Monday afternoon and deliberated for two days. Mr Justice Cavanagh issued a majority direction to the jury just after 12pm on Wednesday.

The direction meant the judge would accept verdicts if at least 10 of the jurors agreed.

Allegations of Intimidation

Robinson was alleged to have acted as a "bully" by hiring private investigators to find the addresses of the complainants, before posting pictures of Mr Dirnhuber outside his home and cropped images of Mr Young's family members on his X account.

Speaking from the witness box during his trial, Robinson said he wanted to put "pressure" on the journalists but denied that hiring the detectives was designed to "intimidate" them.

Robinson, a former leader of the English Defence League, entered not guilty pleas in July last year to two charges of harassment causing fear of violence.
