Three more men have been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of 42-year-old Masum Miah. Officers were called to St Bartholomew’s Road in Newham at around 3am on August 18 following reports of gunshots.
Mr Miah was found inside a car with gunshot wounds, and was pronounced dead at the scene. His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Charges and court appearances
Detectives have confirmed Leonel Friman Intasse, 18, of High Street, Sittingbourne, was charged with murder on Wednesday. He has been remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.
Renars Ludins, 47, of no fixed address, was charged with murder on Saturday, August 29. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, August 29. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, May 17, 2027.
Mihai Stancu, 36, of Charlton Crescent, Barking, was charged with murder on Tuesday, September 8. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 9. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on Monday, May 17, 2027.
Appeal for information
Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts remain with Masum’s family as they come to terms with his tragic death.
“We are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that could assist our enquires to come forward.”
Another man Sergiu Leahu, 40, was last month charged with Mr Miah’s murder.
