Mohammad Hassan, a 23-year-old trainee officer with Greater Manchester Police, has been charged with six offences, including oral rape, kidnap, strangulation, sexual assault, theft of a mobile phone, and dangerous driving. He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The student officer, who was off duty and driving his personal vehicle, was arrested on Saturday evening following a 999 call at approximately 10.18pm. The caller reported a woman in distress inside a vehicle in the Manchester area.
Pursuit and Arrest
Responding officers traced the vehicle and pursued it into West Yorkshire, where Hassan was stopped and detained. A woman in her 20s was safeguarded at the scene and continues to receive support from specialist officers and agencies.
Hassan has been suspended from the force and remanded in custody.
