A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in South London. The victim, Terry Wilding, 43, succumbed to serious head injuries sustained in an alleged attack.

Incident Details

Police were alerted by hospital staff at approximately 12:30 AM on Wednesday, June 10, after a man was admitted with critical head wounds. Investigators determined that the assault occurred at a residence on Cadbury Way in Bermondsey, South London.

Despite medical intervention, Mr. Wilding died later that night. His family is being supported by specialist officers.

Arrest and Charge

On Thursday, June 11, officers arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder. The suspect, Jay Hewetson, 41, of Abbey Street, Southwark, was formally charged on Friday, June 12, with murder. He was remanded to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court the following day.
