CCTV captured the moments before Craig Higgs deliberately set fire to a block of flats in Musselburgh, trapping his former partner and her five-year-old child inside. Muhammad Jawad Yaqoob, a food delivery driver, says he is too frightened to leave his home after he was allegedly targeted by a racist mob during Saturday's anti-immigration protest in Glasgow. Driver admits causing death of Mary Reeves on A75
The daughter of a woman killed in a crash on the A75 has paid an emotional tribute to her "kind, gentle and funny" mum after a young driver admitted causing her death. Mary Reeves, 67, died following the collision in Dumfries and Galloway last year. Cameron Benson, 20, has been banned from driving ahead of his sentencing next month.
