The actors' union Sag-Aftra has announced its opposition to the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros, according to a correction published by the Guardian.

In an interview published on 27 July, Sean Astin, president of Sag-Aftra, was quoted as saying the group had not taken a position on the merger. The union announced its opposition to the deal on 25 July, after the article had gone to print.
