Merseyside Police have been in attendance at a house in Oxton, Wirral, since Saturday afternoon (October 3) following the sudden death of a man in his 20s. The body was discovered at a property on Reedville, and officers were made aware of the incident at approximately 3.55pm.
Investigation and precautionary measures
An investigation has been launched, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams have been called in as a precaution to assess and remove substances located inside the premises. Police have stated that there is no wider risk to the public at this stage.
The man's death is being treated as unexpected, Merseyside Police have confirmed.
Neighbour's account
One of the deceased's neighbours told the ECHO: "I said [to the police], 'Should we be worried?' Because there's all kinds of equipment going in, I've been watching them from the window, they've turned the whole house upside down. Searching."
