Shaun Murphy, 47, of Rockybank Road, Tranmere, was arrested on Saturday, July 25, in the Millfield area of Neston. He has been charged with one count of attempted murder and appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday, July 27, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday, August 24.
The Incident
The charge relates to an incident at around 4pm on July 25 in the Millfield area of Neston. A 52-year-old man was hit by a blue Audi Q3 and sustained serious injuries.
Police Appeal
As part of enquiries, officers are keen to speak to anyone with information or who witnessed the incident. In particular, they are looking to speak to a man believed to be riding a bike in the area at the time, the driver of a white Fiat 500 that pulled up to the scene, and members of the public who stopped to provide emergency first aid to the victim. Officers are also keen to speak to anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the Millfield, Reins Court and Millcroft areas from around the time of the incident.
