Man, 21, Dies After Daylight Park Attack in Chelmsford

A murder investigation has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old man in a Chelmsford park on Friday evening. Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Attack in Central Park

Emergency services were called to Central Park at around 7pm on 12 June after reports of an assault. Police officers arrived within minutes and found a 21-year-old man with critical injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three Arrests Made

Essex Police have arrested three boys, aged 14, 17, and 18, all from Chelmsford, on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody for questioning. The arrests were made after officers traced a vehicle to an address in Auckland Close, Chelmsford, where searches are ongoing.

Police Statement

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We were called by the ambulance service to reports of an assault in the area at around 7pm on Friday 12 June. Officers arrived within minutes and found a 21-year-old man with critical injuries. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and continue to receive support from specially trained officers."

Enquiries are continuing, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
