James Desborough, 40, a father of one who called himself a fan of the TV show Dexter, has been convicted of murdering two homeless men and later killing his prison cellmate while awaiting trial.
Guilty verdicts for double murder and dismemberment
A jury at Winchester Crown Court returned unanimous guilty verdicts on Tuesday after deliberating for three hours and 15 minutes. Desborough showed no emotion as the verdicts were read out.
He murdered Claudio Aquilino, 57, and Daniel Coleman, 43, before dismembering and hiding their bodies in woodland in Cornwall last year.
Cellmate murder while on remand
Desborough is already serving a life sentence for strangling his cellmate Steven Kempster at HMP Exeter while on remand for the earlier murders.
He told a forensic biologist searching the woods for one of his victims that he "enjoyed the dismemberment scenes" in the television series Dexter.
