Inquest into Death of Kavan James John L'Homme, 28

An inquest into the death of 28-year-old Kavan James John L'Homme was opened at Pontypridd Coroners' Court on Monday. Mr L'Homme was found dead in his bedroom at his home on Cornwall Road, Tonypandy, on May 28. He had last been seen alive at 1am that day by his mother, with no concerns raised about his wellbeing.

Discovery of Unprescribed Medication

During the inquest, it was revealed that an empty bottle of oramorph, a strong opioid painkiller, was found at the scene. The medication had not been prescribed to Mr L'Homme. A post-mortem examination to determine a provisional cause of death remains pending further investigation, according to the hearing.

Coroner Adjourns Inquest

Coroner Kerrie Burge adjourned the inquest to a date yet to be fixed. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Mr L'Homme's death are ongoing.
