Body Found in Search for Missing Frodsham Man Peter Conway

A body has been found in the search for a missing man from Frodsham. Peter Conway vanished on Monday, June 8, leaving his family “increasingly concerned.”

He was last seen at 1.47pm on Monday at the Gleaves Garden Centre on Mill Lane, Frodsham. Cheshire Police launched an urgent appeal to find the 71-year-old, who was wearing a grey t-shirt, puffa-style jacket, dark blue jogging bottoms and was carrying a rucksack at the time of his disappearance. It was believed he’d travelled on foot from the Ennerdale Drive area of Frodsham in the direction of Sutton Weaver.

Today, Cheshire Police confirmed a body was found around 4pm on Wednesday, June 10 in the Sutton Weaver area amid the search for Peter.

Formal identification is yet to take place, however, police believe the body to be that of Peter. The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner, the force said. His next of kin have been informed.
