A 12-year-old schoolboy from Brentwood, Essex, has tragically died following a serious incident, with two individuals now under arrest on suspicion of murder. The victim has been identified as Bobby Bloomfield, a pupil at Shenfield High School, who sustained critical injuries in Ashwells Road, Pilgrims Hatch, on Sunday evening.
Incident Details
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 5:40 PM on Sunday, June 7. Bobby was found with serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he sadly passed away a short time later. Essex Police have confirmed that a 15-year-old boy and a 43-year-old man, both from the Pilgrims Hatch area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remained in custody throughout Monday as investigations continue.

Bobby's family released a heartfelt statement, saying: "Losing a child is every parent's nightmare. We are living that nightmare, and no words can ever explain how we are feeling. Bobby brought light and life into all our lives, and we have lost that forever. The hole he has left can never be filled. We would ask for our privacy to be respected as we pull together as a family at this horrific time."
Floral tributes and candles have been placed at the scene in Ashwells Road, with messages expressing love and sorrow.
