Bedford murder suspect arrested in South Africa

Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, a British citizen of Zimbabwean heritage also known as Mark, has been arrested in South Africa on suspicion of murdering his wife and two children in Bedford, Bedfordshire Police confirmed.

Bodies found in Great Denham

The bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and five-year-old Nala were discovered in a house in Great Denham, Bedfordshire, on July 6. Police launched a manhunt for Tshuma shortly after the discovery.

South African police confirmed the arrest on Friday evening, stating that Tshuma was taken into custody without incident. Extradition proceedings are expected to follow.

Investigation ongoing

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. Bedfordshire Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Neighbors described the family as “quiet and private,” expressing shock at the tragedy. The local community has been offered support services.
