A woman has been left unsettled after discovering a knife, a condom, and a creepy note hidden in her basement while searching for her cat, which she describes as an “expert hider.” The unexpected find has sparked a mix of curiosity and concern, leaving her unsure about her next steps.
Discovery in the Basement
Taking to Reddit, she recounted the incident: “Found a weird note and a giant knife in the ceiling of my basement while looking for a missing cat. This is definitely very old, but also very weird. We are luring the cat out with tasty nibbles, and tomorrow I'm talking to my neighbour who lived here a long while ago to see if she knows any of the story.”
The note, written on an envelope, read: “I love you. You're very beautiful - Randal. PS. Nice window.” It was found alongside a sealed condom that expired in 2015.

The woman does not know whether to contact the police about her discovery or try to forget it, believing it could simply be a twisted prank. While the mystery remains unsolved, she was at least pleased to have found her cat, Sushi, hiding among the items.
