Texas teen vanishes on Christmas Eve walk, urgent search underway
Urgent search for teen missing since Christmas Eve

An urgent search is underway in Texas for a 19-year-old woman who vanished without a trace during a Christmas Eve morning walk, with her distraught family pleading for her safe return.

Disappearance after leaving home

Camila Mendoza Olmos was last seen at approximately 6:58 a.m. on Wednesday, 24 December 2025. She left her home in northwest Bexar County, on the outskirts of San Antonio, according to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities have released video footage from around the time of her disappearance. It shows an individual, believed to be Camila, searching inside her vehicle for an unknown item. The footage then ends. Her vehicle was left at the residence, leading investigators to believe she left the area on foot.

Family's desperate Christmas Day search

After Camila failed to return from her usual morning walk, concerned family and friends spent all of Christmas Day combing the area around her home. Finding no sign of her, they contacted the police to officially report her missing.

Her aunt, Nancy Olmos, issued a heartfelt public appeal online, describing Camila as her "sweet angel." She urged the public to share information and pray for the teenager's safety. "She loves God with all her heart, and we are desperately looking for her," Nancy Olmos wrote, adding that Camila had recently been baptised.

Description and appeal for information

Camila is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. When last seen, she was wearing a baby blue and black hoodie, baby blue pyjama bottoms, and white shoes.

Police believe she has her car keys and possibly her driver's licence in her possession. They are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
