Details of the Incident
A murder probe was launched following a crash on Pen Cae Crwn Road shortly before 1pm on Thursday, July 9. The incident saw roads in the surrounding area closed for hours as emergency services carried out their investigation.
In a fresh update on Friday afternoon, police confirmed a 33-year-old man from Gorseinon has been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 38-year-old man from Gowerton and a 38-year-old man from Mount Pleasant have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

These arrests follow Thursday's arrest of an 18-year-old man from Morriston on suspicion of murder and dangerous driving offences, and Friday morning's arrest of an 18-year-old man from Gorseinon on suspicion of murder and section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent.
Ongoing Investigation
All roads which were closed following the incident have reopened, but forensic investigations remain ongoing in Gorseinon. A tent was temporarily erected in Cecil Road, which is around a mile from where the collision is reported to have taken place. The lane running adjacent to Cecil Road is still inaccessible.
The investigation remains ongoing, with officers thanking the public for their support during a traumatic time for both those involved and the wider community of Gorseinon.
