A 15-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being stabbed in east London. The attack occurred in Ilford at approximately 4:55 PM on Saturday.
Emergency Response
Paramedics provided treatment at the scene before rushing the teenager to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the incident.
Road Closures and Diversions
Ilford Lane, the location of the stabbing, remains closed between Winston Way and Grange Road as the Metropolitan Police conduct their investigation. Bus routes 169, EL1, and SL2 are currently on diversion.
Police Statement
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated: 'Around 4:55 PM on Saturday, June 13, officers responded to reports of a stabbing on Ilford Lane, Ilford. Police attended alongside the London Ambulance Service. A 15-year-old boy was treated at the scene for stab injuries and taken to the hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.'
