A 46-year-old man has been charged following reports of a stabbing outside a pub in Maesteg on Tuesday evening.

Geraint Hughes, from Maesteg, has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of assaulting a person causing actual bodily harm.
Police and paramedics were called to Bethania Street outside the Coytrahen Arms pub at around 11pm on Tuesday, July 21. One person was taken to hospital and is now recovering at home.
Police statement
A South Wales Police spokesman said: "South Wales Police was called at 11.20pm on Tuesday, July 21, to reports of a disturbance at an address on Bethania Street in Maesteg."
"Geraint Hughes, 46, from Maesteg has been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and two counts of assaulting a person causing ABH."
