A 12-year-old girl is fighting for her life in hospital after being knocked down by an e-bike in a hit-and-run incident in Warrington. The collision occurred on Long Lane in the Orford area at approximately 2:40 PM on Wednesday, June 17. Emergency services rushed to the scene after reports that an e-bike had struck a child.
The girl was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and is now in a critical condition, according to Cheshire Police. The rider of the e-bike did not stop and fled the scene following the crash. Authorities have issued an urgent appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Information
DS Russ Sime of Cheshire Police stated: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch with us. This occurred at a busy time of day when there would have been a lot of traffic and footfall in the area.”
