Samantha (Sammy) Addison, of Longbenton, died peacefully in hospital with her family by her side on 16th August, aged 48 years. Sammy (nee Dunn) was a devoted daughter of Sonia and Allan, treasured mam of Alannah, loving sister of Paul and Allan and sister-in-law of Sam. She was also a loving aunty of Georgia, Charlie, Lewis and Ollie, and a dearly loved niece of Alan, Carol, John, Maggie, Paul and Caroline. Loving cousin of Claire, Hayley, Deano, Lorna, Lee and Joe. Sammy will be forever loved and sadly missed by all her loving family, many friends and her big friendship team at the Freeman Hospital. John Bell Bradley, of Washington, passed away peacefully at St Cuthbert's Hospice on 10th August 2026 following a short illness, aged 69 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Diane, cherished dad of Alexandria, beloved partner of Jen, and a much-loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Family and friends are invited to attend John's funeral service at Sunderland Crematorium on Monday 7th September at 1.30pm, and from 3pm at the North Biddick Social Club to celebrate his life. In honour of John's lifelong love of Sunderland AFC, and in keeping with his wishes, those attending are encouraged to wear a touch of red and/or white. Family flowers only. John Paul (Paul) Finnigan, of Jarrow, passed away peacefully on 5th August 2026, aged 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Thérèse, much loved dad of Madeleine, Dominic and Rachael, and grandad of George, Frances, Louie, Izzy, Isaac and Charlie. Christine Ann Greener, of Tynemouth (originally Blakelaw), passed away peacefully with her daughters present on 10th August 2026 at St Oswald's Hospice, Newcastle, aged 72 years. Dearly loved mother to Tracy and Sarah, mother-in-law to Craig, and treasured Grandma to Rowan and Kayden. Funeral service at Whitley Bay Crematorium on Tuesday 1st September at 1.30pm.
