Five-Year-Old Letti Cole Found Dead in Water

Five-year-old Letti Cole, reported missing from Badsey, Worcestershire, was tragically found dead in water. Emergency services were called to the scene, but she was pronounced dead. Her family expressed their heartbreak, describing the loss as 'unimaginable'.

Investigation and Family Response

West Mercia Police confirmed there was no third-party involvement in her death and urged the public not to speculate. The family, supported by the community, has set up a fundraiser for a memorial, which has already raised over £7,500 of its £8,000 target.

Letti's aunt, Hayley Cole, wrote on the fundraiser page: 'On Wednesday evening, we lost our most precious angel in the most tragic circumstances. Our family is completely heartbroken, devastated, and still in shock. No family should ever have to go through such an unimaginable loss.'

Community Support and Emergency Response

The fundraiser was suggested by a volunteer who helped in the search. Hayley Cole thanked everyone for their support, saying, 'Your love and support will never be forgotten.'

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 6.50pm and dispatched an ambulance, two paramedic officers, and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car. A spokesperson said, 'On arrival we discovered one patient, a young child. Ambulance staff and police worked quickly to treat the patient, but sadly, it became apparent nothing could be done to save them and they were confirmed dead at the scene.'

Police have asked for privacy for the family during this difficult time and emphasized the tragic nature of the incident.
