A woman has been left injured after a car flipped onto its roof following a crash in West Lothian. Emergency crews rushed to West Main Street in Broxburn on the morning of Wednesday, August 19.
Crash Details and Emergency Response
An alarm was raised around 7.15am after police received a report of a collision. Upon attendance, the female driver was treated for injuries by the Scottish Ambulance Service. Her condition is not known at this time.
Images from the scene show a silver car on its roof, with debris, including one of the car's tyres, on the road next to the vehicle, reports Edinburgh Live. A crowd can be seen on the path, looking at the accident.
Road Closures and Bus Diversions
Buses and traffic were diverted as a result. Lothian Buses have confirmed services 72 and X18 have both been affected. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.15am on Wednesday, 19 August, we received a report of a crash on West Main Street in Broxburn. Emergency services attended and one driver, a woman, was treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
A spokesperson for Lothian buses added: "Due to road closure, buses are unable to serve part of West Main Street and are instead diverted via Station Road, A89 and Loaninghill Road in both directions until further notice."
