A woman was rushed to hospital after a Royal Mail van flipped on its roof following a two-vehicle crash in Fife. Emergency crews were alerted to the incident at the Ladybank junction on the A92 at around 12:44pm on Friday afternoon.
Crash Details
The collision involved a car and a van. The Royal Mail van was pictured on its roof with a significant dent on its side. A white vehicle with a damaged front end and a loose tyre was also visible at the scene. It is unclear which vehicle the woman was travelling in, and no information is available on her injuries.
Emergency Response
Images from the scene show a woman leaning towards the van's window, with a man standing nearby. Another image shows emergency crews, including a highway maintenance vehicle, an ambulance, and a police van. Around five fire officers and a uniformed police officer were seen on the road as traffic built up behind them.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 12.44pm on Friday, 7 August to reports of a road traffic collision on the A92 in Fife on Cupar Road at the Ladybank junction involving a car and a van. Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene to make the area safe. One female casualty was taken to hospital."
Police Scotland and Royal Mail have been approached for comment.
