A US Army helicopter crashed in a privately owned field on Cool Springs Road near Opp, Alabama, on the afternoon of July 28, during routine flight training, officials said.
The helicopter, from Fort Rucker, carried three crew members: an instructor pilot and two student pilots. They were taken to a hospital in Dothan for evaluation and are reported to be in stable condition.
No ground injuries or damage
Covington County Sheriff Blake Turman told WDHN that he does not believe anyone was injured. Officials also said there were no reported injuries to anyone on the ground and no damage to property.
Aircraft type
The helicopter involved is believed to be a UH-72 Lakota, though details on the incident remain limited.
