The disruption began when roadworks on a nearby major route forced lorries to divert through the village, turning its quiet lanes into an impromptu lorry park. Locals report being unable to leave their homes, with some even claiming emergency services struggled to navigate the gridlock.
'It's Absolute Bedlam'
One frustrated resident told reporters, 'It's absolute bedlam here. These massive lorries are rumbling through all day and night – we can't sleep, we can't get out, and nobody seems to care.'
