A tragic head-on collision between a TUI tourist bus and three cars on the holiday island of Lanzarote has left two people dead and several others injured, including a five-year-old boy. The incident occurred on the LZ-2 road in the southwestern part of the island, a popular route connecting the resort of Playa Blanca with the town of Yaiza.

The two deceased individuals have been identified as an Italian couple traveling in one of the cars with their eight-year-old child. The couple, believed to be Italian nationals residing in Lanzarote, died at the scene due to the severity of their injuries. The five-year-old boy, who sustained a moderate elbow injury, was transported by a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital. Additionally, a 36-year-old bus passenger was among eight people who required medical attention following the crash.

Local police, Civil Guard, paramedics, and firefighters rushed to the scene shortly before 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of the collision. Emergency services worked diligently to secure the area, free victims trapped inside the vehicles, and provide immediate medical care. An emergency services spokesman confirmed: "A man and woman have died in the crash. A minor aged five who at the initial stage of care presented a moderate elbow injury, was transported by a medicalized ambulance of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital."
