Two injured in collision near Newcastle Lidl

Two people have been taken to hospital following a collision outside a Newcastle supermarket. Emergency services were called to a two-vehicle collision near Lidl on Scotswood Road, in Lemington, shortly before 6.10pm.

Emergency Response

Two double crewed ambulances attended the scene, alongside Northumbria Police. One person was treated at the scene while two people were transported to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI).

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Scotswood Road, Lemington shortly before 6.10pm on 11 June. We dispatched two double crewed ambulances. One patient was treated and discharged at the scene and two patients were taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary."
